Icon7 Returned home from S.I.C.C in NC

Just got home from NC. I know I don't run 8's so my opinion is cool or important. But IMO nyce's ( also the guy from honda tuning) tried there best to get us atleast in the gates and wait it out. I also saw first hand the gate attendent wouldn't let the cars in. We waited there in the rain on and off for an hour or so before it was officially called off. Thanks for trying guys I appreciate your effort in trying something new to help the sport.

On another note. To give back to the guys who made the trip.... Maybe a random lottery drawing for each class participant and set up a ladder. Use there qualifying passes as the race from NC at the august race at capitol. Somewhat like NHRA/NOPI did two years ago when ATL rained out and they had it set up at Etown. Then give out payout/points according and that is your first NC race. Then move on the the eliminations.

Sad to see guys upset and not returning in the future S.I.C.C. events. But everyone see's things in there own way so Im just saying what I feel. Just my slow .02 let the chaos begin

How can you have an event and not have control?
There was no hour or waiting, the message on the track answering machine said cancelled at 10 minutes to 3.

You guys might have waited around but at that point the decision was already made.

Most track workers in all of the US hate on the Imports... They dont even think of it is because of us that they are working that weekend... They dont think about the money at that point. But we need to remember that they are nothing less than Circus/Rodeo clowns.

It sucks to hear that after so many years we are treated this way. When will it ever be an even playing field??

hey man thanks for even making the trip out, especially with there being an IFO tomorrow that was closer to home. that shows some dedication right there.

we tried our best to get them to let us even get the gates open. i walked in the rain, stood in the rain, waited for calls, and in the end he didnt give us the time of day. and on top of that, he was right in the fact that the rain was not going to hold off.

good luck at ifo for those who are going to attend tomorrow, and i hope that you guys make it out to the next event. hopefully ill be there.

btw, i was the light skinned black dude in the redish pink (infared) polo.
