sicc canceled . meet at the rock!!
Blahahahaha. Blahahahahah. All this fast in a straight line crap is getting borrrrrrrrrring. Too bad I don't have super mod skillzzzz or this would be on lock down. We need some twisties then we can call it racing!!
thank you for the guys who showed support and came out. big thanks to the racers who traveled from the north east who came down to show support. sadly, the rain out hurt the event, since it was the 1st of the series. hopefully the next race in the sicc series will be better for everyone involved.
shot out to Nyce1s for attempting to put on an event in the carolinas. there are more drag events needed.

Sucks it was cancelled, but it makes me feel better since I could not make it.
Don't thank us ben, I am ****in pissed at the bullshit that took place today along with a lot of other people.
Pretty sure you won't be seeing any of us at any sicc races in the future. Probably gonna stick with the nscra, they have control over their events and make sure the gates open and the event takes place.
If I wasn't in ****in traffic on my way back north I would say more but my blackberry is hard to type on in traffic

Miller,
blackberry suck, i am on one right now myself.
what happened today shows you that you have to know your track well. i cannot get into more, because i cannot post too much, and would rather have Craig and Julian post more of this, but i will say that i am sitting here right now, and its clear as **** here, along with being extremely hot and humid. if there couldve been a rain delay, this couldve been avoided.
i will start my drive home. while it is not 10+ hours, we all had time invested here.
i stick to my guns on being at the next SICC event, and helping out with any promotions, executive work, planning, and dealings if needed. i feel for nyce1s today because i know all too well, especially with having the events i throw fall through and flop while having backers supporting you. **** happens. point blank, and people lose their ***. nyce1s took a blow today trying to offer options to the scene when they did not even have to make the attempt. so i thank them, as i thank you miller.
anything else, i cannot speak on because its not my body. i will agree with you, rick, and everyone else who drove the long distance drive to be shorted because of weather or any other conditions, but i can only speak from being the guy at the track from 12-1pm watching things unfold.
hopefully more people will not back out of being a part of the SICC series, as there can always be things go wrong. no body is perfect. nhra import wasnt, and i have not been to a nscra event. i do know that nscra is a nice body, but the availability of their races in more than 3-4 places is not an option at this time, unless im behind on the times. many people do not have the option to hop in the car and goto florida to spectate, or run. there are other bodies out there, for other people who do not have these options, and SICC is one of those bodies. if the big dogs back from SICC it will be a huge blow to not only the series, but the sport. i still think SICC could be a solid series without the big dogs, focusing on more of the local 12.9-10.0 cars, including bracket runs, but it will not be as exciting without that top modified and extreme 72 element.
i know you are going to reply miller, along with many others, and thats promoted. i plan to write on greasyblocks.com about this tomorrow, and while i dont use the site much, i want to hear what everyone has to say about it. if you do not want to post it here, post it there, but at least take the time to give feedback of your feelings on the situation.
ill end it here with saying that today was bad on everyone involved and all it showed is that there is a crowd screaming for attention, love, and some action here in the southeast (lower va, carolinas, and ga) and that someone has finally paid attention to the need of some races here. thank you SICC, NYCE1s, and like i said before everyone from the north east who came down and tried to have a good event. this does not have to be the last time this event is attempted.
i offer my help and support if its needed.

check it, rain held back alot of people and the what ifs can only be what ifs.
out of how many people in this thread, besides miller, and guys like 1sloek or whatever, rick, m23 i think, and rlz were at the track? if you were there, and you talked to the owner, then you know how it went. and everything that was possible was tried. free event passes were even given out to those who were there as spectators.
maybe i am going off on the wrong foot, but maybe i am just seeing a trend of people who were not there but have things to say.
I was there. To me it seemed like a big mistake by calling it to early. I don't understand why the event couldn't have started later in the evening and went on later into the night.
I got 10-15 minutes from the track and the sky's looked great all the way back home to Wake Forest NC. From my understanding no more rain was seen in Fayatteville shortly after it was called. Is this true?
Im not mad at all, it just seems like more effort could have been put forth from the track officials in Fayetteville. We will probably never see a event with so much potential make its way back into this neck of the woods.
