Default 92 Honda Accord LX, 4 Door, Build

I am planning to build up my 92 Honda Accord LX 4 door. This will be my first build. Originally I was debating on trying to drop a v6 in it or going the easy route and putting an H22 in it as I have read many places that it isn't worth it to build an F22. Then I found https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/my-girlfriends-f22-build-2736911/ and I got inspired to build an F22 engine instead.

Since the build car is also my only car I plan on buying a motor and building it then dropping it in. Which is nice because everyone is dropping their F22s in favor of an H22. I saw 3 F22s on craigslist for $200 not bad for a play motor.

The current goal is to get all the non engine stuff out of the way. Rear disk break conversion, big breaks, suspension (probably adjustable), sway bars. If you have anything to add to this list I would love your input.

Then comes the engine build. I plan on buying an F22 from craigslist for cheap as stated. I am kind of up in the air about parts though. Originally I was going to go with what 2point6 did to his girlfriends car but I can't really afford that so I kind of have in mind stock Type S Prelude parts from wrecking yards for the most part. I mean if I have to buy a $500 part here and there that comes highly recommended I am not opposed to it just don't want to pop off $500 tons of times.

So here is my engine / transmission parts list at the moment
- Type S Transmission (No Mods Yet)
- Type S Pistons
- Type S Rods
- Type S Crank
- Performance Camshaft (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Performance Camshaft Gears (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Performance Header (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Performance Intake Manifold (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Performance Exhaust Manifold (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Performance Clutch (Brand, Spec suggestions?)
- Throttle Body
- Light flywheel (Brand, Spec suggestions?)

That is what I have in my head at the moment. Not sure how available the Type S preludes are in the US and how many of them are in wreaking yards but that is kind of what I am thinking.

Are people running full performance exhaust systems or just the manifolds? I don't want the sound of a magnaflow exhaust any suggestions for a performance low noise exhaust would be great.

I would like to do this as bolt on as possible since I have never welded. I do have access to a welder though if I need to. I will also be hauling parts to the performance shop to have them polished, balanced, coated, ... I am not opposed to spending a lot of money on this project. However, since it is my first project cheaper=faster which means I will eventually finish this project instead of having an untouched motor in my garage
