I've got an opportunity to buy a mint 1983 Civic 1500DX Hatch. It's an auto and has working a/c, original owner, only 44k miles - that's right 44k miles. Runs perfect. No rust or damage. Only flaw is a small tear in the driver's seat. It's definitely a 9 out of 10.

What's something like this worth? I'm not very familiar with 2nd gens and I can't find anything to compare it to on ebay or anything.

 

not a high in demand car. maybe 1200-1500.

 

i agree. 1200-1500 is a really good estimate. they aren't worth much at all, especially the 2nd gens, but they are nice to keep around.
