my h22 tranny was grinding 3 and 5th, so i went out and looked areound and picked up a h23 tranny, i was jut wondering what the difference was. if there is a big difference

How much did you pay for an H23 tranny? Unless you got a really good deal it probably would have been cheaper to fix the grinds in your H22 tranny. Now you dont know what kind of shape the tranny you got is in.

The gears are a TAD longer on the h23a1. I paid $250 for my 1996 H23a1 tranny. My accord was grinding 3rd and 5th also.

i only paid about 400 for it. one of my friends works at a shop, and they gets parts for pretty good prices, and he hooked me up since the motor was only put in like a few months ago
