hey guys, i was thinking about custom fabbing a honda cbr 600 or streetbike gas door onto my EK coupe, i saw it in a old mag a while ago on DA integra, and it looked super baller!! i was just wonderin if anyone has seen it done or has personally done it?? let me know, give me some advice guy, me and my brother can both weld just want to know how it was done

 

Its been done to death on VW's. Its pretty simple, just buy a crashed up tank with filler cap. Cut out what you need, weld on a tube so your factory filler tube will fit up. Then weld the cut portion into your car, follow by the appropriate body work. If you've never welded sheet steel, practice first or the whole thing will look like the ocean during a hurricane.

 

what else? is it really simple? or is it simple for someone that basically lives on a couch in his garage??? lol i dont want a half gallon of bondo on it either

 

i think if you have to ask how to do something like this you probably shouldnt attempt it. if you dont have pashints i dont know how to spell that then body works not for you.
