I kind of think I do because I use to have a se-r and it had an lsd which whinned and my ef whines....and if I do, is the clutch different than the reg. b16 cable trannies? thanks...

 

It will be stamped with the letters "L S D" near the tranny code label

 

that is true and if u can see all the way thru ur differential housing thats another way to tell....clutches do not differ

 

put the front end up and drive ~ if both tires spin its LSD

 

uhhhhmmmm no my sohc si trans wil do that if u put it in the air and spin one tire one way and teh other tire goes the same way then u have lsd if it spins back wards then u dont....must be in gear to do this

Look to the left of the Engine code. You can't miss it. unless its saturated with dirt and grime

 

 

well either I am extremely STUPID , or there is no serial # on my tranny... I always thought it was to the left of the engine code but there is nothing there. I can't find a code anywhere on the tranny

 

If it has no bar through the differential (i.e. you can see straight through) then it's LSD.

 

i have lsd but when i looked threw the hole when i took the axles out i saw a gold color rod going threw is that cause the drive shaft is in the way ?

 

You don't have an LSD then. I have a JDM Y1 transmission w/ LSD and there is no rod through the differential.

the sticker with serial # must have peeled off. mine came off and i thought my tranny was y1 lsd until i bought clutch for it and it didnt fit, then i found out it was YS1 lsd. the letter "LSD" is tamped in black ink.

 

so what clutch do you use for the YS1, because I just ordered a clutch...

 

im using clutch master stage3 and aluminum flywheel. you need a clutch for 92-93 teg because the spline is bigger than 90-91 teg. the flywheel is the same for 90-93 teg.
