what up guys, treading waters with my EM1.. possibly relocating to Iowa for work and don't really know what the weather is like most the time, although im sure in the winter time its not a fun place for FWD cars.. so if i do leave, im thinkin about sellin the coupe..
the car has 109K on the odometer, clean title, the previous owner was in a minor fender bender so it has an accident reported on the CarFax but he was a childhood friend so i know it wasnt major damage.. I believe im the 3rd owner, the first was a girl, the 2nd my buddy and myself the 3rd..
anyways, since i've bought the car i've put alot of dough into it as far as interior and exterior upgrades.. I also bought everything except valves so far for to fully build the head, just havent had the extra money to get it all built and tuned right now..
To Start off, it has a B16 head with a B18 bottom end, and what I'm almost certain is a GS-R tranny.. i've been told if at 5th gear goin 80 the rpm's are around 4300-4500 its a GS-R trans and thats the case with mine.. Under the hood It's got a Bisimoto race header, a Type-R intake manifold, Skunk2 composite fuel rail, NRG tri-point strut bar and a powder coated red CTR valve cover..
Inside i have driver and passenger NRG Type-R style seats(Black w/red stitching), NRG harnesses and an NRG harness bar.. I also have a black Mugen shift **** with a Type-R shift boot and Mugen gas, clutch and brake pedals...In the Dash i have a Sony 6.5" double din touchscreen DVD player with Alpine Type-R speakers all the way around and In the trunk i got a 12" Kicker Solo Baric and a 800W amp, as well as a NRG carbon titanium rear strut bar..
Exterior wise, i've got 16" Rota Slip streams in Black, with Dunlop low pro tires(195/45/16).. 2 are fairly new, the other 2 are probably 60% tread.. It's lowered on Eibach springs, I've got a Skunk2 Camber kit, Skunk2 lower control arms, a Blox rear sway bar and a NRG lower tie bar.. A couple other add-ons are the JDM Honda Access window visors/rainguards and a rear window visor.. Its also got a VIS Racing OEM style CF hood and a Mugen style CF front lip.. And lastly a Apex'i N1 muffler
I'll post pics before the weekend is over, need to do a good mop n glow on it but everything on the car except the rims and CF hood is less than 3 or 4 months old and has come out of my pocket and I'd assume I've spent over 2k on all the interior and exterior parts, not including the initial purchase of the car or the $1500 worth of Skunk2 internals i haven't put on the car either.. If interested, hit up this thread or PM me.. thanks alot - Jarrod

if your at 4300-4500 rpm going 80mph then it is a b16 tranny...not a gsr tranny
That's a good thing on your part because people prefer a b16 tranny over a gsr tranny

as far as all the internals that i've bought that are brand new, in the box, I've got :
Skunk2 Tuner Series stage1 cams.. 642.99 + tax..
Skunk2 Pro Series Valve Spring set.. 332.84 + tax..
Skunk2 Titanium Retainer set.. 207.89 + tax..
Skunk2 Tuner Series cam gears.. 245.29 + tax..
Skunk2 B-Series cam seal.. 31.49 + tax..
Internal Total Cost = $1588.29 after a 8.75% tax..
The reason i bought the Stage 1 cams is because I was undecided to whether I wanted to go all motor or turbo and with these cams you can go either way as you can go NA with a built motor or go with an aggressive turbo set-up.. So at the end of the day, all you would need is valves, which are around $300-400 and high compression pistons for all motor or low compression pistons for a turbo build and if you felt it was necessary, go with aftermarket rods and you'd have yourself one clean, reliable daily driver with a good amount of power and torque!

and thanx for the input on the tranny situation, u never know what to believe, my friend that sold me the car bought the tranny from honda and he said it was a B16.. others have told me depending on the rpm at 80 that its a gsr.. i'll take your word for it though!

im also open to trades if i dont end up relocating.. EG or EK hatches, preferrably swapped or D-series turbo'd.. with money on top on your end!!
a few other things i forgot to mention is i have the stock B16 bottom end as well, apparently the rings are fried so it needs to get some work done.. I also have the stock header, cat, clutch, springs, and the A/c and power steering, which was removed cuz my friend had it turbo'd when it was just a stock B16 and that is why the stuff was removed and why it now is LS-V instead cuz the B16 piston rings fried..
and i also have an NRG steering wheel with the quick release and short hub and the wheel lock, which altogether cost me about $650 but i figured that into the 2K i spent on upgrades.. I just forgot to mention that it's on the car!!!
