Default Wings West Body Kit

I am looking into a Wings West Body Kit, either the Avenger kit or the same kit with the TUNER TYP I FRONT BUMPER COVER. I have a 96 Civic 2dr. Both of these kits you must cut part of the factory Bumper reinforment bar, is this safe to do?

I wouldn't recommend it man. Me and my friend tried doing that once w/a dremmel and it was a pain in the ***. It took forever to do. Whatever you do, DON'T take the bumper support off... SAFETY first bro.

my friend has a 00 civic hx coupe. he installed a showoff bumper and needed to take of the bumper rebar. PLEASE dont do it. the only thing now keeping him from the enine from sitting in his lap in accident is a fiberglass bumper. Keep the rebar and i say get a lip kit instead.
