Water Spots - Need help removing them
Hey Honda-Tech
Ok here is the situation, I am a fireman and my company is taking our new ladder to a parade this upcoming weekend and the truck has water spots on the chrome and diamond plate finishes. I was wondering what the best product would be to remove these spots and also a couple of tips from you pros would be great.
Any help is appreciate from the guys at the house and they thank everyone in advance..

Never dull is good on chrome and a couple other things but it's not a "Polish". but to remove the water spots if they are etched pretty bad, you will need polish. something like Bushes polish, blue billet, maybe mothers polish, any kind of aluminum polish. and then take a little 4"x4" square of **** carpet and rub the polish in with the **** carpet. then rub it until it turns black, once it turns black you can remove it, but remove it with another piece of **** carpet. then it should shine like new money. The reason I say use **** carpet is because on that Diamond plate, it is real hard to get arround all of those little diamond nubbs
so you will need
1) aluminum polish-(I like busche's polish)
2) a few 4" squares of shaggy carpet
3) a bunch of micro fiber raggs
and with all of that and a little elbow grease you should have a pretty shiny truck.

word - mothers metal polish is fabulous for such a readily available product. i use it to polish anything metal and it does a great job. i use it for platinum and palladium, all the way down to stainless steel and other common polished metals.
i've tried some of the boutique products, like optimum fine metal polish, and still nothing beats the good ol tub of mothers.
for all my metal buffing i use flannel rags.
good idea with the **** carpet. it doesn't leave fine scratches?
