Have a gsr and will be running Drag III @ 10lbs until I can rebuild. How many miles do you guys get with trannies and clutches, I know it will be different depending on tons of variables but about what can I expect if I drive my car pretty hard most of the time. BTW I have a clutchnet II.

 

24 views and no responses. I'm sure some of you guys have blown your trannies and clutches, how long did they last after boosting?

 

just like you said, it depends on variables...but some haev lasted up to 7 months boosting on stock clutches....just don't dog it too much. but i'd spend the $ and get a clutch.

 

Yeah, I have a clutchnet stage II but I'm more worried about my tranny, I guess 2nd gear synchro is usually the first thing to go?

 

yup, heavy boost = very bad for tranny.

You have to rebuilt it after a while

 

My LS Tranny was shot after about 6 months of boosting.
On my next turbo car I am having one of these installed along with the Quaife. Hopefully the Tranny will last longer. It's a PTS kit from levelten.

 

Can I get some more info on this? I seem to eat trannies up.

Well it says all Honda/Acura 1992 and up.
