weird noise when @ 3500 rpm, BAD!
This doesn't sound good and I don't know what could it be
. When I go to 3500rpm i hear a metalic sound as if the valves were hitting the pistons (i hope that's not it). When i go past the 3500 everything goes back to normal... And if i let of the gas sometimes i can hear it for a good second as the rpm's go down.
It only happens at that range, maybe there is something resonating in there???
Any ideas what could it be?

it cant be valves hitting pistons.
is there any loss of performance?
are you sure its coming from the engine?
does it do it if you rev the motor in neutral? stand over the engine and listen...
the catalytic convertor shields are notorious for rattling at certain RPM ranges.

there is not any noticeable performance loss.

It's most noticeable from inside the car, i couldnt hear anything just standing over the engine.

it can be heard in neutral
I tried to point it out standing over the engnine but you just can't hear it, the noise can only be heard from the inside.
What can I do to fix it?

it is your header, the stock headers go bad and the metal inside them rattles at that rpm. I had that problem, it sounds extremely painful, the stock headers can begin to do this at about 70k, ive come across many integras that have had this problem.

i have the same problem with my teg also, when it hit bout 3300-3500 it makes a wierd rattling noise, if its below those rpm or once it goest pass 3500 it stops. it sounds like its coming from my header and i took off the front heat shield, still makes the noise. i thought maybe its my heat shield behind the header, but havent had a chance to take it off, i may just purchase some aftermarket header to clean up my engine bay rather then that rusty header.
if your car is odb1, then it is the heat sheild above the cat. i had a gsr and it made the same noise. i used a wire and tied it down more to reduce the noise by alot before i sold the car.
have a muffler shop put a few spot welds in to connect the heat shield to the pipe. Cost me $20 and there's never been another rattle.
just rip the heat shield off of your cat...seriously. my 96 gsr cat heat shield rattled like that and it was ******* annoying and it only happened at that rpm, so i ripped it off and not i'm a happy man. and no, your car won't heat up or burn or anything else...that shield isn't necessary.
