King Engine bearings? Anyone use them? If not what do you use?
I have used ACL duraglide and race bearing on about 95% of the engines i have built. I used a set of kings about 5years ago with good luck. With the whole ACL failing at life with the price jump and the intergalactic back order on b18/b20 bearings i need to get some and would like to hear what every one is using out there.
Thanks
Russ

Yeah the ACL thing sucks. we do have mains/thrust acl race but are out of the rod bearings for B16 and LS motors. I believe I have a few sets of B18C HX rod bearings too.
ACL Says end of July. I also have the full set of Clevite in stock with the H rod bearing. Been having to use that with the whole ACL fiasco.

they do not make them hardened like the ACL bearings are (1925h)
If they would actually have them hardened, they would sell a lot better. For race motors, they are not too good. they cant take a beating especially at high rpm.

king bearings here....making over 400whp with them. no problems. actually the last 3 or 4 engine setups i went thru all used king bearings...never a bearing related failure/problem. they seem to work just fine...they can take the abuse...
I dont know were you got your info but according to king there HP bearings hard just like the ACL Race.
Contact Laskey Racing I got a full B-Series ACL Bearing set for $100 shipped, cant beat that!
My old motor had King's in it, never had a problem with them.

My father used to sell their bearings in the late 90's. He swears by them. He has them on a 800hp 460 that was built ten years ago, has at least four hundred passes on it and still going strong.
Only OEM Honda here! I have used others, but none compare to Honda! Period.
