Default Driveshaft Shop Pro-Level Axles

The Driveshaft Shop is proud to announce the new Pro-Level Drivetrain Systems for the Honda B, K & H Series applications (H-series Diff only). This system has been years in development and testing in order to achieve this unsurpassed level of strength and durability. The feature that really sets this system apart is our 40% larger differential spline, eliminating the weakest link in high horsepower applications. Until recently the only way to increase this spline size was to run a spool with a larger spline. The spool is a great way to get the power down and get rid of some rotating weight in the transmission, but turning around at the end of the track, or getting the car on the trailer after an event is not an easy task.

But now theres an answer, the Pro-Level Axle Kit available with either a spool or the new Driveshaft Shop 28 spline gear-driven Limited-Slip Differential.

The axles feature our signature 33 spline outer CV (same as found on the Level 5.9 axles), 300M chromoly center bars, and our full chromoly 108mm Porsche-style 6-bolt Inner CV. Chromoly 6-bolt flanges, designed to provide adequate clearance at the transmission and at the intermediate bar mount, connect these axles to either the Pro-Spool or Pro-LSD 28 spline 300M Intermediate Shaft. The Pro-Spool kit uses a straight-thru 28 spline 300M intermediate shaft that will go all the way through the transmission and connect to the female flanges on either side, while the Pro-LSD kit will use a standard length 28 spline 300M intermediate shaft and 28 spline plug into the differential on the transmission side. This system comes complete with both axles, your choice of hubs, ARP studs, 300M chromoly Intermediate shaft, 6-bolt mounting flanges, with all of the necessary hardware and your choice of the Pro-Spool, or the 28 spline Limited-Slip Differential. We currently have all of the Pro-Spools and the Pro-LSD for B-series (LS/B16) in stock, B-series GS-R, K-series and H-series will be available in approximately 2-3 weeks.

So what about those of you that already have Level 5.9 axles and are now making more power than you expected? We have a solution for you to. For considerably less than the Pro-Level Kit, we can upgrade your Level 5.9 axles to 28 spline billet chromoly Ball & Cage inner CV housings to be used with either the Pro-Spool or Pro-LSD and the 28 spline intermediate shafts. These Ball & Cage CV's use even stronger chromoly internals than the 108mm CV's that come with the Pro-kits, making these axles easily on par with the full Pro-Level axles.

Here's what some of the guys running the Pro-Level Axles have to say:

"After a year of dealing with all the headaches from running a spool, because the only axles strong enough for us were available only with a spool, DSS came through with a product with all the strength we need and the safety and ease of use of a limited slip differential. Our first outing with the new DSS Pro Level axle kit and DSS LSD resulted in a new personal best, 8.72 at 166mph. I forgot how much I hated the spool until I went back to the LSD!"

Tony Palo
T1 Race Development

“Through my shop, NRG Tech Racing, I have been selling DSS axles for close to ten years. I have always trusted the company and the product for my customers and myself. After straying away to another axle company I quickly saw that the customer support and product quality I had with DSS was not what I was receiving. For the 2010 race season I am happy and proud to announce that I am once again running Driveshaft Shop axles in my race car. I could not be happier with the performance of the Pro-Levels' thus far. Recently, the car went 8.61 @ 172 mph with these axles. The best part about the new Pro Series setup is the limited slip differential rather than the spool that I had to use with other companies. It is almost like having power steering back in the car.”

Chris Miller
NRG Tech Racing

“...With 1100+ wheel horsepower through a 26" slick, these axles just won't quit. Nothing better than piece of mind when lining up against the fastest in the country..."

Damian Borroto
TD Autowerkes

Here is what the Pro-Level 28 spline plug into the differential looked like after Tony Palo from T1 put about 30 8-second passes on his Pro-LSD Kit:

No twisting here.

We'll be closed vacation from 7/5-7/9, but feel free to contact T1 Race Development, NRG Tech, TD Autowerkes, Lightning Motorsports, or any of our other distributors for any questions you may have. Have a great 4th of July!
