so im trying to decide what motor mounts to buy for my ef. i have a b-series and was wondering if any one know if the ebay no name brand mounts will work fine?. im on a budget also. i heard that they will work fine but also heard that they dont fit correctly and that my motor would shake alot. so just need some info about them. please help. i wana drive my car! haha

 

yes a friend of mine had them, they vibrate and fall apart quickly, you get what you pay for, remember that

 

not only will it shake..but could lean the motor to the side. With that being said, you could be changing out ur axles every 3 months.

I bought non-brand name mounts, albeit not from E-Bay, and they have held up fine over the last five years. They weren't as cheap as you can find them and had a lifetime warranty.

 

but were they ef b-series mounts?

 

I think (for any swap mount) alignment is key. That is why the holes are over sized on the mount plates.

 

I bought Innovative mounts about two years ago. They aren't as cheap as E-bay mounts but not as expensive as the big brands. I haven't had any problems from them at all.

 

i have no name mounts from eBay as well and they so far have worked just fine. i've had them installed for a little over 2 years now.

here's some pics to see engine placement with these mounts. and keep in mind my car is quite low so that's why clearance is minimal lol. i'm just trying to show that the engine itself doesn't sit abnormally low relative to the chassis.















it is a close fit but i didn't have to mess with the hood, and it doesn't hit the valve cover.

 

ebays work fine but dont get the crappy little ones. go for some aluminum ones. my friend has broke a steel mount before. shitty welds
