Default 70mm Erick's Erick Ericks Throttle Body Billet Aluminum Inlinefour Inlinefour.com

Hey all, I'm looking for the mfg of Erick's Racing TB. I suspect it's the same one as the one sold on Inlinefour.com, but I'm not sure. I remember reading a thread in which somebody bought one of these TB's for about $325 or so. Search is useless; hence the keyword filled subject field. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure it does not. you an get yours off, just have to slot the screw heads, or drill them off.

I was looking at an Erick';s racing throttle body and noticed it uses a different map sensor that on my car. I have an older TB and has teh old map sensor that plugs in and not the one that is screwed on. So does that mean i can not use the Erick's Racing TB???

Take a flat-head or a chisel and notch the top of the bolt and use a small hammer to tap and loosen the screw (for US motors) the JDM motors have actual screws.

It's my understanding that the T/B I'm buying *IS* the Erick's Racing one, but without the logo. It's from the same machine shop that Erick's gets theirs from, so what's the problem?

If the thottle body has "RPM Services" on the top of it , they are the people making it for Erick's, I have one , And it sucks! The whole thing is made of alluminum, including the pulley the thottle cable ataches to , about every three days I have to take it off and adjust it. The alluminum pulley snaps closed on a steel pin for adjusting the plate and it digs into the pulley which makes the plate stick.
It looks a real nice piece untill you put it and use it, the worste part is I sold my bored out GSR T/B when I got this one , so I'm stuck with it . I wish I never sold me old one so I break this is a million pieces.
My advice , get a GSR T/B and have it bored by RC engineering!

Hmm pin digging into the throttle spool? That's probably going to be an easy fix, but I'll have to take a look at it first. Beyond that though, do you have any other major problems with the TB?

That is pretty much the problem, Also the spring is super tight which I'm sure ads to the problem. The thottle is almost as hard to push down as the clutch.
I'm not one to bad mouth something , but I don't think the T/B was really tested much on a street car before they hit the market.

my personal opinion was that they dont work...

i bought one tried to fit it on my d16y7, yes i know its an odd engine....but they say it will work on all d,b,f and h series engines...

the tps slot was like 3 degrees off... and it ran like poop..

so i didnt use it, so then i was going to put it on a friend type R(b series motor it should work right)

it ran like poop too. even adjusted the tps sensor to the right specs and everything...it just wasnt right....soo i say get a stock T/B and bore it

I need a little clarification...why bother getting a larger TB, yet when I asked about IC pipes I was told 2.5inches (62mm) was more than enough?

Its my opinion that anything over 65mm is a waste of money, and anything without a taper bore is a total waste of money.

Vapor Trail is correct, On a turbo car, why have a thottle body larger than the I/C tubing? , The only reason I went with something bigger is I run a supercharger, so the supercharger is pulling air and needs as little resriction as possible. All motor cars hardly use more than 62mm.
