Lets face it. An alarm probably wouldn't have helped all that much. If someone wants it bad enough their going to get it.

at least with an alarm...there is a possible chance where it could have alert him of the situtation..and gave him a chance to save his car.

what is the point of those wanna be JDM EK bumper moldings on the back, and on the wheel side of the front bumper?

an alarm is the first thing your supposed to do when you get a new car. my guess is OP was show boating in his new car, and caught someone attention.

See this is one of the reasons I got out of the Honda scene back in the day, everyone just hates on each other. Here, another guy who likes Honda's got his S*%& stolen and everyone just throws out comments ******* him and his car. Well anyways, I feel for you man I had a pickup stolen a few years back (on a military base even). Nothing is safe these days. I'm not in OH but i'm in PA so semi close. If I see a rex runnin around with bride seats (cant be many of them lol) then i'll run them off the road or something for ya.

im not "*******" his car. its a legitimate question, what are the purposes of those parts? i had my rex stolen last year, and got it back in one piece, i wish him the best of luck in getting it back.

i never show anything i have done to my car, i go to a few meets every weekend and i park my car farther away, roll up the windows, and lock the doors. thats it. no showboating or carrying on how i think my car beats everyone cause it cant. its slow. my theory is probably someone followed me from the meet and speculated i had more done to it engine wise.i posted the parts so if anyone sees someone selling them they can contact the police to help further the investigation. most likely though its long gone. thanks TJchad, i would rather have it off the road than someone going around commiting crimes in it, i guess thats what the cops said they like to do in stolen vehicles. personally i think its gonna get stripped of its parts. new MO is gonna be alarm first mod and not a single emblem or decal on the car ever. faceplate off and steering wheel hub with a locker when the wheel is removed. also that kill switch sounds like a good idea

Well alarms do work to an extent. As far as the sirens, they can cut the one that is normally in the engine bay. But me myself I have 3 sirens in my bay and 2 more hidden, 1 of which is battery operated. So if you take it further than a standard siren your car will attract some attention when it gets tripped.

Only way an alarm does not work, is when the owner is cheap and buys a shitty alarm and a cheap install.

Get a good alarm and an even better install.

There's so many tricks to deal with an alarm. Anyone with experienced in dealing with this can get past it. And most of the good people work in teams.

Trick one the usual pop the hood cut the horn or whatever. No one really cares about alarms because they always seem to go off and when you're trying to sleep they all sound alike.

Trick two actually open the door, alarm goes off, close it... but not all the way. Chances are it's at night dude looks from a far see's it's closed. They reset it because they think something tripped it. You give it a bit and then go back.

Also it takes people who are sleeping time to get ready and go out.

Most of the thieves are owners of hondas or familiar with ways. So they carry spares of fuses, ecu's, steering wheels etc that is tooken out. Chances are it's not the first time they've seen your car. Hell they probably know your whole procedure lol. It's not like there's that many different detachable things around. One time I went to the honda dealership, me and three of their workers had the same detachable hub or whatever. One had his car in a magazine. Also always detaching your wheel gets annoying and it a hassle taking it to some places. Some places you can't take it.

Yeah that's true well it's been done for a while. Still it's too much time and attention. Sometimes I think that's a wives tale because if that was so, wouldn't cops notice that there's a bunch of hondas being put on flatbed or whatever tow truck?

Hey man sorry, I've had a car stolen before. It sucks, being new here, I can't believe how much crap people are giving you. I've never had that happen! Hope you get it back, I'm in Florida so probably no chance it gets down here.

all the flamers should ask themselves if there car got stolen wouldnt you spread the word in case somebody saw it or its parts being sold? the more people are looking for it the better the chances it will be found, even though its probably chopped and never to be found again. i've accepted its probably gone for good but you never know. plus it has more sentimental value more than the parts are worth to me. if you dont appreciate what im trying to do then STFU.
