First thing I'd like to ask people not to flame on this thread. I'm asking for peoples opinions because I'm up in the air and don't know exactly how I feel on my idea of window tint.

I always thought Lexus RX 300's had nice window tint. Didn't realy think of what it would look like on my car til this summer. Functionally I imagine the lighter mirrored tint would work better than typical black window tint because it would reflect light rather than absorb it like black or darker colored tint.

The issue is if the Lexus tint would clash wth my Integra. I don't want hardcore mirrored tint you cant see through, but exactly like lexus' tint. Friends I've asked about this shrug their shoulders, or in other words think it'd be ugly.

eh to each their own, but regular i think would look nice, nothing dark but like a light tint

If it were mine I'd use darker tint.

It sounds like you have functionality in mind, though. Dare to be different? I know it would be a pain, but it's just window tint, and if you don't like it, it's not that hard to reverse.

 

That's what I was thinking...but, it isn't worth $200 though. Wish I was handy at photoshop so I could get an idea of what it would look like...

Anybody else? Tint is goiing on this month...it'll help keep the sun damage minimal on the interior...and keep it cooler on stupid hot days...

 

I say go for it. Then post pictures, I'd be curious to see what it ends up looking like.

I have the Lexus style tint and I liked it at first, because it makes the color of the car stand out more, but now I got tired of the look so I am installing dark tint sometime this year.

+1 on saving your interior from sun dammage. Where I live almost all cars have tint. The older cars I see that don't have tint have a sunbleached interior.

 

Exactly. I'm still not sure yet but I hope to have my windows tinted in the next couple days. Cant decide on which tint to pick...

 

On Wednesday I got my car tinted with 35%. I like it, keeps a lot of heat out and helps shield the interior from the sun.

 

35% is nice and mellow. Post some pics.

 

Just get legal regular tint with a lifetime waranty on peeling and color changing.

 

I will soon. The tint isn't setting up right on the rear glass at the top where the little lack dots are...so I'll post something up once it's all fixed by the shop who did it.

 

You should look into pinnacle or llumar tint with ceramic if you're looking for functionality.
