Intercooler install, what to cut?
Hey guys, after a few years of slacking I've finally found the time to install all of my crap for my ls/vtec turbo project on my 88 crx si...
The motor has been in for a while and I just got to mocking up my 29x9x3 intercooler and I'm thinking I have to cut out part of my bumper support to make it fit correctly. Otherwise I won't have the room to run the intercooler piping correctly.
If anyone has pictures of their set up and/or can share how they did it I would greatly appreciate it!
I have a 92 civic Fluidyne Radiator and my ramhorn is bumping right up against it... So it's a tight fit, and I'm wondering how everyone else did it?
Even with a backdoor intercooler I would still have to cut the "horn" mounts out to clear the cool side piping...
Thanks for your feedback!

I got stuck halfway through the install and had to wait a week for the innovative mounts front crossmember to come in because the stock one was crampin' my style.
BTW, I'm running ls/vtec too. Be sure to get it tuned ASAP.
Good luck

here is the link to my build thread and how mine is sitting now its a 30x10x3 godspeed that im turning into a backdoor my horn area and all that has been cut if u look threw all the pics but it fits nicely with bumper on. if you have the 88 front bumper u wont have any problems with fog lights hitting charge pipes

yeah, you're going to have to cut your front crossmember. mine is 26.75"x6.2"x3.5" and fits perfect w/o cutting
