Sometimes it will start and sometimes it won't. No check engine light. Even if I do start it and after driving it warm I go to shut the car off then start it again and no luck. I have replace the following. Spark plug wires and plugs, Ignition coil(I haven't replaced the cap or rotor but it looked fine to me), replaced the Main Relay(well I got it from a junk yard but I didn't know the mileage of the car, so it might be bad), cleaned both the coolent temp sensors(friends told me to clean them) and also a new battery.

I don't know. Maybe I got a bad Main relay. I have a 93 Accord that had 112k miles on it. I could take the Main relay out of there and see what happens. Looking for alittle more input if any of you could help. The mileage of the car is 256k. This is one of the best sites that I have always had my questions answered here since 2000. When the engine doesn't start, turn the key to the on position without cranking it. Can you hear a moderate click from behind the dash when the check engine light goes out? If not, the main relay could be faulty.

I have replaced igniters for intermittent hot start, no starts.

 

Sometimes I do here it and sometimes I don't. When the car isn't starting I don't here that click you are referring to. So maybe I do have a bad Main Relay that I picked up. I will try the one I have in my 93 accord and see what happens. Thanks for the input.

 

Check your fuel regulator and vacuum pressure to regulator. I had similar problem this fixed it

 

I had this same problem. My car would have problem starting one time and another time it would be fine. Then one day it finally just turned over but would not start as if the car was not getting any fuel. I had to replace the main relay VRM-0022. The new one was much bigger. I noticed that there was no clicking sound as I had heard before which had to be the main relay. Took 15 mins swap out and 70 bux from the dealership.

 

Thanks for the info, I have a '02 Accord Coupe 4cyl and have the same intermitent problem no-start, either hot or cold. It used to start 95 of 100 times but now it's gotten to 60% chance. I read that it was likely a main relay and that knocking on the tank would restart the car. I work at M Benz but can afford to drive the Honda, which has been a super Great car for the last few years and 95k miles. Thanks!

 

theres a small sensor behind the clutch pedal and when they break or get messed up the car starts having that problem

Yeah, make sure your fuel pump primes for the first-two second when you crank the key over to the "ON" position like Phootbag mentioned. If not, your fuel pump maybe bad.
