I am nearing the completion of my most recent project. The car is a 91 Civic Si with OBD-0 JDM B16A. The car seems to be misfiring. It hesitates through the rpm band and I feel as if its not near it full potential. Some background info. I converted the car to obd-1, computer and td-44u distributor. The computer was tuned by xenocron. The car is not throwing any codes. It also seems to be runnning rich, I can smell excess fuel in the exhaust. I checked the timing both mechanical and ignition they are fine. Also, fuel filter, plugs, wires, are new. Any idea where I can start. I think the coil in the distributor might be bad and will start there. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

My problem was one of the little plastic fuel injector filters had popped out and gotten wedged in my fuel rail. Strangely enough, that was the problem. Good luck man!

 

I tried a different chip I had for the ecu. Not sure what tune or basemap is on it but the car seems to be running almost 100%.
