Default Mini me head swap dyno's?

I honestly would really like to search for this, but I have no idea what to search for. Is there a thread around here with before/after dyno's for Mini-me head swaps on the SOHC's? More specifically, Y7 with Y8 head and intake manifold?

If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks!

I don't think there's really anyone here; since, there's more B series swapped guys here.

I suspect that the budget-minded mini-me swapper isn't as like to pop the coin to run dyno tests on their builds, hence the resounding silence.

d-series.org

but srsly, i can help you with estimates given everything is in good working order.

what ecu are you running? it matters.

y8 ecu needs a knock sensor (and if a manual ecu, calls for a 2-wire IACV), but y7 ecu doesn't operate vtec. the y7 ecu + something like a VAFC will make the car run but you will not have optimum fueling and timing once vtec engages.

i'm hoping you are using a p28 ecu with the proper chassis-side ECU plug pin swaps, etc., ie http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.96-98.jpg & http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/...-98_a-plug.jpg

the combustion chambers are the same size, so the lower 9.4:1 compression of the y7 will carry over with a y8 head.

if done properly and running an OE sohc vtec tune, you should expect about the same curve as a y8 and the numbers to be pretty close.

Try bisi's tech forums there is d-series info there too, but I had a y7/y8 y8 intake and exhaust mani straight pipe to 07' si muffler p28 ran nice but had a dx tranny hung nicely with a z6 intake header and exhaust

Pretty much what I am planning on doing, except I already have an EX trans. I'll check out all these different sites.
