factory service manual like the guy said. if you go to s machine shop that doesnt have one it is usefull, so the guy does it correctly.
research

READ my posts here and on club integra(tehshi_R)
i went thru same thing as you do right now.

i started planning about 3-4 months ago
and thats how long it took me to learn much of what i need (not all) to be able to do the build on my own.

if you cant find the info here
check out
GOOGLE SEARCH( most of the results are linked to honda tech articles or topics, really great stuff, thats how i answered most of the questions i had.

plan ahead like i said in teh thread"cost of all motor build"

put all the stuff together and see how much it costs for the build you want
and then see what you can actually afford without being a slave to your credit card for next 5 years.

never say you have enough because there is always gonna be something you didnt plan on buying. no one stays in there budget like. raverx said, research and find out prices and only do it once take your time. i rushed my build and i changed so much from what i first thought i was gonna do and went way out my budget and my motor still isnt done

Make sure you also include in your budget,
Tuning and dyno,
Gaskets, timing belt, water pump,
Misc. stuff like hoses, accessory belts, cleaners, silicon, etc.

What are your plans for exhaust, header, injectors, intake, throttle body?
