Default 06+ black paint fade?

I have a 07 si and it's black. How often should I wax and wash it. And what should I use? I have had two older black honda's and faded terrible. Or is this something Honda did better in later years?

Paint quality of the new civics, especially black, are still not as good. It really depends on what type of weather you have, how much you drive, if its garaged, etc. They are all factors. I would polish/wax every 6 months to a year.

my friend says that it is best to do it every 3 months if your car is left outside. 6 months is good for a garage kept car.
