97 CRV head problems
I have a burnt valve on my CRV and was wondering if I could use a LS head on the B20 block instead of stock? Would this solve the valve adjustment ever 30k? Pretty sure I could use the LS head would I run into any problems?
Thanks Dave

Yeah, the LS head fits just fine... The CRV are very common to have this problem (in case you weren't aware of this yet ) I'd still suggest a valve adjustment every 30k though. Your factory CRV service manual suggests adjustments every 30k, but the info has been updated if you contact your Honda dealer... They now recommend valve adjustments on the CRV every 15k
By looking at the MAP sensor voltage feedback to the ECU, you can pretty much tell if you need a valve adjustment, if idle and timing are correct, and engine seems to run properly, you should have just a touch under 1V DC going back to the ECU, anything away from there, I would pop the cover and do a quick inspection. There may be a variation to this depending on your altitude.
