Need help on N/A build purchase!
Now i need you guys help more than ever. Theres a civic im looking to trade for my newer Si. Its a fully built N/A B16, its got a compression of 12.5 :1 and idles roughly. It has a stage 4 clutch kinda geared for track. I drive 30 miles a day. and if i get it it will be a DD.
JE 12:1 pistons (roughly 12.5:1 final comp with the flat face valves)
Eagle rods
ACL bearings
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
Supertech flat face valves
Supertech dual valve springs and titanium retainers
Buddy Club Spec 4 cams
AEM cam gears
CTR N1 crank pulley
Benen Industries fuel rail
AEM fuel pressure regulator
B & M fuel pressure gauge
Skunk2 intake manifold
Skunk2 70MM TB
DEI heat wrap
Whitfield/Rage Racing header
Password:JDM test pipe
Buddy Club Spec 2 exhaust
Fluidyne radiator
Samco Sport hoses
tuned with ECTune
MFactory 4.9 final drive
CTR LSD
Driveshaft Shop 2.9 axles
Competition clutch 6 puck sprung clutch
Fidanza aluminum flywheel
whats the average life for a motor like this.
Question: Can this thing be de tuned a bit to be able to be daily driven without removing much of the parts.
will a tune be enough or will i have to do more? and how much is a tune. with a tune can it be reliable?
any advice to give for daily driving something like this?

You're looking for answers that cannot possibly be given with any accuracy over the internet. You'll need to have the car taken to a shop and pay a few dollars to have it checked over. If it's running rough, it could be a bad tune or it could be some bent valves and that could cost you a lot of money. Once you can assess the health of the car and see that it's good, the next step would be to have it tuned by a good tuner. Daily driving would be a piece of cake after that.
