Back in 04 I bought a 97 R shell from orlando. with the help of h-t i was able to find out who the owner was and what number the R was (#95). well 6 years later bought another R from the bay area, and i was wondering if it belonged to anyone on here.

its a 2000 black R bought it as a shell the car was stolen in 2003 and has not been rebuilt or registered since. it was missing motor front end 5 lug and front back seats with door panles and all the carbon climent stuff and the arm rest. here are some pics if it would help. i know its originally a california car if that helps and from the looks of it, it looks pretty much a stock type R when it was stolen.

Looks like in great condition for a shell. Can't believe it has been sitting for 7 years.

PM doespike, he might not be around until after Expo.

yes sir, just s simple K20 all motor set up nothing crazy. i dont want to hack the car up its still clean, I have never owned a K-powered car, and unfortunately the front end isnt original and motor was stolen but the rest of the car is surprisingly clean, gonna try to keep everything accept ac and ps. my goal is when or if the time comes to part from the car a B-series motor can be put back in it with just a welding of the mount. i excited about the hybrid racing shifter

you can use the rsx base axles for the usdm 32mm 5 lug and they make plug and play a/c ps kits, and yes thank got dont hack up the console for the shifter. I almost picked up a clean py shelll prepped for k with mount welded in already but the console was cut out really discouraged me

i was just informed of the base rsx axle's would work with 32mm but it seems that jdm 5 lug is cheaper to buy, but when time comes if i come across a cheap usdm 32mm 5 lug id by it. and PS is not going back on makes the bay look to cluster and i live in seattle ac is hardley used. and again thank god for hybrid for their genuis shifter box.

Nice pick up .I talked to bao about his R. I can belive it's still in realy good shape as well .He stored it in the back of the shop so it was still hella nice shape ! I was gonna swoop it up but picked up the C/W 98 that was in San Fran instead .I realy wanted a C/W ... Or i would of snagged that one too.Did you get the gsr leather and all he had inside ? if so just wondering how much u swooped it for ?Was the dash vin tag messed up or missing like he said it was ? Or did you get the oe dash with the oem vin tag to that chassie ?
either eay glad it went to a felow R owner

after all was said and done with the tow up to seattle the car pretty much ended up costing me $2k, i did get the SUPER clean gsr leather seats (4sale btw). I believe the dash that came with the car (missing vin tag) is the original dash to the car, i had a parts car that had a dash that i used when going to state patrol, but WSP said that the vin has to be removed if its not the original to the car but they stamped my dash with a washington state patrol vin tag that matches the rest of the car.

Around that time there were ALOT of R's in Northern California. The chances of someone knowing whose car that is with no other information is not going to be possible. Perhaps if you try and find the previous license plate number or something then you might have some kind of shot.

Does the oem tag on the dirverside door say NHBP? Is there any way that it actually might be a 2001 model sold originally in 2000?
