Sooo my air in my new lude has been acting weird.

First i got the blower fixed by a mechanic because i didnt wanna try and fix it. -195 bucks after labor.

So now the air clicks on and off from cold to hot. Randomly. Took it back to him and told him he check the ac and said its the expansion valve ( pretty sure ) the one thats in the dash. correct me if im talkin about the wrong one. He wants 200 bucks to do this. says he has to take the freon out and put it back in. Is this an easy job to complete on my own? if so can anyone give me steps or where this is exactly located.
