we just got the ZC swap done in my bro-in-laws 91 SI civic HB. But we went to start it and it just cranks. we have spark, BUT its being flooded. we took out the plugs and there fuel sitting on top of the piston. the gas started leaking out of the exhaust manifold.
what hell is goin on here.

(i am a pretty good tunner and have done several swaps, turbo kits, and tunning, but never worked on a zc. So i am kinda new at THIS swap.)

Did you replace the cap and rotor? If you did, the rotor may be put in wrong. This happend to my friends 90 Ls, we had the rotor put in 180 degrees

 

yes did that, along with spark plugs.
this **** is pissing me off, lol.

 

I hope you have the firing order right?, did you get all the crank/cam timming marks lined up correctly, if you messed with them, but hey check them anyway. Those are two big possiblity's for ya.

 

everything was/is on mark TDC. late last night before i left i wanted to take a look at the dist. cap/rotor again, and while inspecting the NEW cap the nipple that goes into the coil was broken i touched it ever so softly and it fell off. i couldn't stick around to see if that was the probelm. but i am sure thats what it was. (hopefully)
