I have a chance to get a rear disc set-up off of a 94' civic ex is that just as good as a civic si set-up and will it bolt right up just as easy to my eg ??
He is correct. The EX-S model came with ABS and rear disc brakes.
It doesn't matter what 92+ model Civic you get the rear disc brakes from (hatch, coupe, sedan), they will work. You just have to match them with the correct e-brake cables for your application. For that matter, the same applies to getting the hardware from a 99-00 Civic Si, or a 94+ Integra (earlier models as well, but I don't remember how early).
My 94 EX has all the rear trailing arms/hardware from a 92 Si. The only other part I needed was e-brake cables from a coupe with rear disc brakes (or similar - 99-00 Civic Si, 94+ Integra, etc.)
