Too bad it has the FSI motor, and anyone wanting more power will need to swap out fuel pumps. Why go stage II without a full TBE, intake, and intercooler though, you are not getting the full potential of the tune.

You don't need a CBE at all with it, most people only see 3-5hp if that. IMO CBE is a waste for this car unless you get a good deal on it or you want it just for the sound.
The intake stock is fine, APR uses it for their stgIII upgrade and most people run it stock because there are not much improvements to be had other than people wanting to here their diverter valve lol.
All Mkv gtis have a FMIC, but a larger s3 intercooler or twincooler is a great upgrade if people want.

They are super fun to drive, I still average 32-33 MPG everyday to work even putting down some good power.
I am looking into selling it to help me save for a house and then get something else down the road. Being adult = sucks.

Yah you will have get a fuel pump and injectors to go stgII+, but I never get any fuel cuts like some say...most people including myself are fine.

I have an 09 GLI
I'm really happy that they switched over to the TSI motor as well. You are correct about not needing the full CBE, and I know APR only requires the downpipe for there Stage II tune. I'm still waiting to find an Autotech non resonated Magnaflow exhaust for a decent price, I will couple it to a 42DD full race downpipe during the first years when I don't need a smog, and then swap it during smog for stock.
I know it will be loud as ****, but I love how that setup sounds.
