Default Carsound Cats

OK i know i know i know there are other threads on this topic, and i read though them but i was just wondering if i could get a simple answer from someone. I want to get a carsound cat, do any of you have them? If so, i have a GReddy SP exhaust on my 4th gen, and I am wondering which one will be optimal for me. Do i want 2.5 or 2.25"? also which style do i want? Also do you guys think its worth it to spend ~$180 from SMSP to get one with the flanges already on it and the spot welding? Or is it smarter to get the flanges yourself or just weld it on yourself?

peace/thanks

I'd go with the 2.5'' cat. As long as SMSP makes the cat bolt-directly in I'd say that the extra price is worth it because you will have to take a universal one to an exhaust shop and pay them to do the same stuff for you.

Also, if you want to save even more money you could buy a Catco 2.5'' cat from summit racing. They are like $60. I am not sure which cat-converter is of higher quality though. I have no real experience with either.
