Need a few quick questions on the F23
Hello,
Just picked up an 01 Accord LX with a F23A1 Automatic. I'm kinda new to the whole F23 series and haven't really experienced as much as I should. But I can learn new things.
Since i'm still a broke college student, I was wondering if it was possible to G23 swap to an automatic and use a H22/23 automatic ecu?
I've looked up and calculated on auto-manual swaps and it turned out to be around high 3 grand to low 4 grand. Only if money grew on trees.
Before I do all of that. I was wondering should I rebuild my trans or get a new F/H trans. My 1st gear is starting to slip, not alot, but just sometimes. Every other gear shifts perfect though.
I'm not going to find all the parts overnight. I will be collecting parts over from a period of time and will install when I have everything fit together.
Or would it just be better to find a complete H22AX off an 01 Prelude SH automatic and swap the whole engine into my car instead?
Just trying to get a little more power to the car, though I must say, jumping from a economic D17A2 to a F23A1 is a sure hell of a difference hah.]
Thank you for your time.
