Icon2 Head Trouble

I have a 95 Civic with b16a2 swap..I was wondering how much of a power increase i'd make if i put gsr head with brian crower stage 3 cams, brian crower valves & valve springs & retainers with polish and port job? Also would i have more top end if i put gsr trans on b16 engine?

15-20hp?
And for NA, keep the B16 trans. It has a lower final drive and shorter gears to take advantage of VTEC better since it's less torquey than the b18.

if you get it TUNED after all that work you might be able to make more. If you do that same work to the B16 head, it will be thesame. no need to change the head. Also consider slapping the head on a GSR block or something. Give u lots more torque.

I agree with this, perhaps more though, since the gsr head has slightly better compression than the b16.

b16 head flows better stock for stock to the gsr head. i would say keep the b16 head and work form there save your money.

apexi rsx, that is an outdated and false argument that people really need to quit perpetuating. If you put both heads on a flow bench, the difference is so minimal that it will not be noticeable. Better cams, aftermarket intakes, adding ITR style valves, a mild port job, a velocity stack, etc will make more of a difference.

why not just save the money and do all that work to a b16 head instead of buying another gsr head for no reason....
