Hello and thank you for reading my post, I just recently bought my first car, a 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback STD, 1.5L DPFI and 4 Speed Manual. I plan to do a DOHC ZC swap with a Si tranny later on. Anyway the car was running smooth and well, now that summer has started my car has started to fail on me. The car cranks over and starts right away. Every now and then it won't start and it will show the Check Engine Light, it throws a Code 16 and I know that it has to due with Fuel Injector failure, wiring, or bad sensor. But when it turns on the car runs fine and strong, but the ecu still blinks 16 times. Sometimes after I start the car it jumps up to 1500 rpm and then drops to idle. Other times the rpm needle doesn't move until I give it gas, it then idles. When I turn it off it doesn't always turn back on, sometimes the CEL pops up again, I wait a couple minutes, give it another try and it turns on. I have read on the issue and I believe it is either the main relay and I doubt its the fuel pump or fuel injectors because the car runs strong and I don't hear any whine from the fuel pump after turning off the car. Anyone who has had the same problem or knows exactly whats wrong and could help would be greatly appreciated.
