i was going to buy a ITR intake cam, but still use my gsr exhaust cam. does any1 know if that is ok for my motor? i think i read somewhere that ITR exhaust cam is the same as the GSR.

 

I ran the CTR cam with the GSR exh cam for several months and without a fuel controller and it was fine. After you install the cam just be sure to check that your timing is within spec. Mine wasn't and my CEL came on. After I set it back to 16 degrees (and then later to 18 degrees) the CEL never came back on.

As for the GSR exh cam being the same as the ITR exh cam, I do not believe that is true.

yea, gsr and itr exhaust cams are different

 

well what would be better to get booth the cams or will juss the intake be fine? my setup will be the follwowing:

skunk 2 IM
skunk 2 cam gears
chipped p28
dc header
aem intake

 

it'll be better to have both. easier to dial in. there is an issue of overlap with just one

 

I did one at a time because I could only afford one at a time. hehe!

 

ITR and CTR exhaust cams are the same. i believe u mixed them up
