How to Achieve a Durable Paint Job?
My local auto paint shop mixed me up some Roma Red in a spray can for $30 bucks, had to buy a few cans but I did my front and rear lip, as well as my grille.
I bought Duplicolor Automotive Grade clear coat and did a few coats and wet sanded and buffed, looked really nice.
A month later, stone chips, or more like sand blasted.. Awful, there is no durability to my paint job
my stock front bumper has been on for 10 years of abuse and doesnt have a single stone chip. The type of paint on the bumper takes abuse without chipping, just marks up..
Anybody have a solution for me?
Thanks.

differnt brands dont matter. If the clear coat is chipping, its because your clear isnt good enough. (spray can clear= not so good) Clearcoat should have a hardner mixed in with it, which is why it is easy to chip. If the color is chipping off also, most likely its because it wasnt prepped very well.
As far as your lip, it seems as though the primer wasnt prepped correctly. You need to sand the color off, you can use 320 grit, and respray the red. let it flash for 15 or 20 minutes, and then clear it.
