150 shot of nitrous in an ITR???

You want help... heres some help:
Not trying to "hate" but drag racing an R is a waste IMO. Take her to a road course where she belongs! You'll enjoy it more there.

Do i smell BS??

300bhp and 200ftlb of torque on a 150 shot of nos? Maybe you should go to the dyno and get real numbers. 195 + 150 = 300? Plus, your torque curve with that much nitrous would be way different then a NA car, which is why 200 ft/lbs is bs.

You call that help? Giving him your 2 cents about what he should be doing with his car instead of what he enjoys?

touche, you're right. my comment was very opinionated and uncalled for. just think he'd enjoy the car more on a track rather than a drag strip. i appologize

first off welcome to honda-tech.

Now,

if you plan on draggin the r the first thing i would do is ditch the nitrous system.i know you said you want to keep it but their are safer ways to get power out of a honda and from past experience nitrous is not it. now if you want to keep the kit and boost the r you could use the nitrous as an intercooler sprayer. look into your options depending on what way you want to go. their are plenty of threds in here that will help you out.

Welcome to HT! You might have a bit more luck with responses in the Drag Racing forum (https://honda-tech.com/forums/drag-racing-36/). There's quite a bit of info to search and look through there as well.

People still use NOS on FWD 4-cylinder cars? I thought that died when the F&F crowd started growing up.

OP, if you are into drag racing, I suggest getting yourself a proper turbo kit and building the motor around that.

LOL wtf are you guys hating on the N2O for? Sounds to me like none of you have ever been in a Honda with nitrous. Nitrous = Instant torque, the one most important thing a honda is missing for drag racing. And a 150 shot (direct port I hope) would turn the car into a monster. I have trouble believing that even a direct port shot on a stock block would hold up, but the first thing to go would be the valves and he already upgraded those so who knows? OP just might be for real. I think he would be having major timing issues without proper tuning for such a large shot.

And yes a 150 DP shot would make about 300 whp and gobs of tq with the listed head mods, untuned of course.

Forgot to also mention, there is another forum a little closer to home if you aren't already on there (itr-dc2.com). I know there are quite a few Irish locals on there too.

definatly not hatin just pointing out that their are other ways for making power. id rather have the power all the time not just when i smash the button

I agree that turbo would be the most logical form of making more power. But the nitrous guys are doing crazy things these days. I have not messed with nitrous in many years but I have heard that now you can program solenoids to open a certian percentage according to rpms in different gears. Basically giving the same effect as boost. That way the power is not instant and far more safe allowing tuning for different stages.

All fine and dandy until the bottle runs out.

Point being, why not invest in a system that is there all the time and is much safer than seeing how much N02 you can inject into your motor until it decides to go boom?

Well matt how ya keeping mate.
You been on this forum long.Lads i'v got some pictures of the car on my profile.I'll try to get some more up 4 ya.

The nos is really good if set up right, engine going good thank god but dont want 2 put a turbo onto it.If honda wanted a turbo integra they would have made 1.
