FYI: Grand Am Cup at VIR on Speed right now (6PM EST)
Looks to be raining.
Oh yeah! It rained its *** off that day. The whole place was a swamp... which made for some very interesting racing.
Can't wait to see the TV footage!Jon
93 SE-R with dried mud still hidden in various places from getting stuck in the evil stuff at VIR 4 times that day
That was amazing to watch! I don't think I've ever seen so many offs or such frieghtening lines through the uphill esses
Does anyone have an idea of what kind of lap times they were turning? The last couple VIR events I've seen have been superbikes and the Rolex cars so my perspective may be a bit skewed, but it didn't look that fast (thanks to the flooding).

IIRC the RSX's were doing about 2:30 laps in the pouring rain, and later on that day the 911's were doing about 2:12's in better (but not by much) conditions. Can't really remember for sure- I didn't time many laps because I didn't want my Robic to get soaked

Jon
93 SE-R which no doubt still has VIR mud in many hidden places
