Intake question for 03 civic
No, you can't just attach a filter to the throttle body, your IAT (intake air temperature) sensor needs something to plug into, as well as the vacuum line.
You could probably just plug the vacuum line, but there's no (good) reason to.
Just buy an ebay short-ram intake and put a good (K&N) filter on it, if you're on a tight budget.

They removed their resonator and attached an intake pipe to the filter housing? Completely useless modification, IMO. If I were going to modify my intake, I'd do it the right way, not some ridiculous hack-job.
