so i went to a local track (not the best track) put car on race gas but it only hit 19lbs and i went 11.24 @ 130 went 102 in the 1/8 this was witha 1.75 60ft... i tried turning the boost up to 24.5 psi (was tuned at this) my boost control is set up with the boost by gear i have a 9lb spring and in first gear im only hitting 12 psi second was like 14 psi and 3rd and 4th was around 22psi i had my target boost a little higher than that in the tables... i couldnt get it to do what i wanted to and after i turned it up i started running crappier times 11.40s and 11.60s at 131 and 132 with 1.8 60s.... i tried data logging but the data log would shut off mid run?
What should a 580 - 600whp car trap in the 1/4?
I ended up calling it a night and brought the drove the car home gonna put her up for a bit and do all body work and upgrade the brakes and change out the lower control arm bushings....

mine traps 144 at 23psi wich is 609whpthis is in a ef
i have yet to see a good time at 23psi, and i ran 10.6@19psi at 136mph y 60' was 1.820/eigth was 7.2@105.
my short track has always sucked, and im on the hunt to get it figured out.

... which i really know nothing about... im gonna try to get ahold to Tony this week
we went 9.8@148 with 589 WHP in a full weight EG without any type of boost by gear.
are you spinning the slicks a lot? post a few of your timeslips. I have some of them when you trapped 95 in the 1/8th when I raced you.
At least you got the runaway boost problem fixed with a change in wastegate placement. I would still try to put it on a manual boost controller set on whatever boost you want to run.

You shouldnt need a mbc just go in the s300 or whatever u have controlling the boost solenoid and change it to a fixed percentage instead of by gear this will make it just like a mbc set up i had the same issues with my boost solenoid this fixed my problem i got all 17 psi all the time so try it and see what happens

mikesrex: to be honest it feels like in 3rd and fourth about 6500 or so like it starts possibly break loose? it gets squirly and pulls to on side
ATYPR: the slicks were at 8 psi dont wanna go too much lower people are already stopping me and telling me i have flats
...
boosted92snatch: i would like to figure something out... i just wanna get some good times out of the car i know it has the potential... just need to figure out how to get it down the track with all the power being applied and being hooked up

lol I get that all the time at Evadale. Try 6.5 psi and see what happens. You don't want to spin your slick on the wheel, so you may want to mark both to let you know if you spin the slick on the wheel. If that happens, be sure to add more pressure.
you can get the bead lock screws pretty cheap man i was spinning on the slicks, and had issues running 10's i bead lockes them thangs and went 10.6 off the trailor best 40 bux i ever spent lol

your trap speed is dependent on more than your peak WHP and vehicle weight. You have to factor in your gearing and the power curve of your setup. I would guess you should trap anywhere from 130-140 depending on how fat of a power curve you have and how well you put it down to the ground.
