Default 2000 Si, stock, first time at the track.

So, it's the first time I ever ran the quarter.

Car: 2000 Civic Si all stock, street tires.

Best ET timeslip breakdown:

R/T-.164
60'-2.497
1/8-10.28 @ 69.84mph
1/4-15.876 @ 87.18mph

So far im feeling pretty good about it since I was running R/T below .2 all night long. Out of 12 runs 10 of them were 15.9 sec and my 60' times were 2.4xx like clockwork.

I feel a stock b16a should be a little faster than this, maybe mine isn't running just right. Most people who run them say they do mid 15s. I'm probably going to bring tools with me next time so I can at least change the ignition timing a bit since my buddy says I shoot out a bit of black smoke down the strip.

That is pretty much on par, with a bone stock SI. if you can take some weight out it will help. if you want to run faster and not spend a whole lot, put a 50 shot on there and do the basic bolt ons. with the basic bolt ons, you should be able to get down to a 15.5 or so then with a 50 shot get down into the 14's somewhere. I hope this helps.

with intake/header/exhaust you should be able to run lows 15's if not high 14's.

with a 2.0 sixty foot, you would run about 15.0, so maybe look at traction.... you should be able to cut down to a 2.2 or 2.1 60' with practice..... without switching tires to drags

BONE STOCK SI RUN 15.7-8 AND 88-90MPH
B16 ARE GREAT MOTORS JUST LIKE THEM IN A LIGHTER CHASSIS IN ALL MOTOR FORMS
B16 WITH BOOST ARE FUN LIL MOTORS.

I wish i could make 2.2 in the 60'. I launch at 5500 rpm and I guess it bogs down a bit. I was thinking of launching at 6000 or 6500, but was too afraid of wheelspin. NEXT TIME.

You need to keep the rpm's up so that it stays in vtec the whole time. If it bogs down then hits vtec your missing out on alot of ET.

I ran 15.7 @ 89 in my stock si, then 14.7 @ 97 with a intake/50shot.
