Default mi hatch was gargling

so i was driving home after alittle effin on mi ef...... and im like 2 miles from home, jsut cruzin along at like 55-60 then it happens....... its like i dropped to only 1 or 2 firing cylnders. i had now power, it sounded like ****, and then she died. so i costed along to a stop. then i tryed to start her up..... it was like gargleing.... popping.... nothing good. i have no idea what could be wrong and its jsut my luck with this freckin car. hell it took me 6 months jsut got get this motor swap to run. and then 3 months later i get this. maybe i should just give up. i know its gonna turn out to be something bad. anybody think they could know whats wrong with my bitch of a car. oh its a dohc zc.

maybe you snapped the timing belt... but it may be something simple. Take a look inside your dizzy and see if the cap and rotor are ok. I would do a visual inspection of everything in the engine bay and make sure you have fuel getting to the engine and spark

Man, dont loose hope. As you say you spent 6 months getting it to run so you must know the baby like the back of your hand.
Check for the golden 3 - Fuel, spark and compression and go from there.

my guess is the fuel pump, sounds like one when it would go out. either that or maybe distributor problem. but the guy above is right. check spark, fuel an compression.

i bet on the crew in your rotor mine came out driving down the water front i downshifted and bang car dies tried to start it it backfired a million times i took off my timing cover thought for sure my timing was off re did it like a thousand times got my car towed home after letting it sit for 6 hours next morning took off my dizzy cap and my rotors kickin it in the cap

well ive been checkin stuff all weekend. i dont thi nk it would be my dizzy cuz its brand spanking new. like 2 months old half the stuff is new. but my cars atleast starting now. but it does sound like ****. my timing belt is alittle loose i think. im really hopeing it didnt just a tooth or 3. ummmmm...... fule pump? oh and when my car is running the motor moves, ALOT. it like lopes in the erngine bay

you should really check your rotor. takes five seconds to pull the cap off.
