Default Looking for power FC tips . . . Dyno on sunday.

Ok, I have been playing with the power fc and have a good grasp for some pieces of it. I know Jack knows this thing like the back of his hand and I IM'd him. Was looking for others who know their way around the power FC.

Hit me up on IM, email (trey@bseries.net) or toss up stuff here!

Thanks

I had my choices and picked the power FC OVER Hondata and AEM for different reasons. Hondata is just not for me for plenty of reasons.

anyone have power FC tips or are we just going to bad mouth the power FC?

I am looking at getting one or the other...

Yeah thats what they Say. Truth is I was speaking to a customer who knows Glen at Datalogit through his RX7 etc. and He said the way its going you probably won't see a unit for sale for at least another Year. The Datalogits for the RX7 have been out for a couple years and they are Still modifying them.

,You just plug and play.
Same w/ AEM EMS. If you already have a laptop, i recommend the AEM EMS, if not Power FC is a better option.

EMS is adjustable, FC is not. (at least not by the standard user)

They did finally establish a US distributor for datalogit out of Texas. And continuous improvement isn't always a bad thing, it coudl mean there are problems but it could mean they just want to improve. I would be interested to know the real deal though. I am in no major hurry so when it comes out I will plan on utilizing it.

Only for RX7 Not for all Datalogits.
Hope your tuning results were ok, FC should be fine for you for now since the car is mostly stock.

Rescheduled dyno for Friday night. We had a night race Saturday night (Auto-X) and we didn't get home till 2 AM. Was a lot fo fun but we were too tired to hit the dyno early like we planned.

So you can use the hand controller to configure new sensors? Say you want to put an EGT on each cylinder and have the system add fuel on a per cyl. basis if the temps get too high? You can do that in your garage?

How about if you want to add a knock sensor to each cyl? You don't need the software for that?

Say you want to put a ITR head on your GSR block, can you configure the Power FC to not use the signal wire for the secondaries without having the software?

Say you just bought a nitrous kit and want the FC to control it. Can you use the hand controller to configure all the additional input/output wires?

I've always thought the answer was no to each of those questions.

Stock sensors do just fine
No need for EGT
One knock sensor is plenty
secondaries...?? WGAF
NOS is for pussies.

so the answer is no it can't.

Right?

There's plenty of good reasons to add/change sensors. One of them being just for the hell of it because rewiring your car and programming your ECU is fun.

secondaries...?? WGAF
What does WGAF stand for? That one's new to me.

NOS is for pussies.
It's called nitrous you ricer!

Seriously though, IMO nitrous is fine for the drag crowd. Most people who complain about it just recently had thier asses handed to them by a car with it, so now they need an excuse.

Thanks.

Now I can answer the question.

I give a ****. It's ghetto to have have unconnected wires under your hood or to have disconnected but still active outputs on your ECU (the latter is less ghetto than the former though).
