Sorry about the title but I really need this answered.

Hey guys, my friend has a third gen lude and his crank pulley(balancer) broke. Well we found a used one that has the same dimensions as his old on but doesn't have that six sided cutout for the holder tool(the used one is just a round opening) and it is a one piece design, whereas his old one was a two piece. The question is.......Will it work? I know it will fit, but will it mess with engine harmonics too much to where it could actually damage the engine? That was my concern and is the reason why I haven't put it on his car yet. If anyone knows, please reply and tell me if it will work or not. Thanks guys.

 

as long as it fits like the old it did it should be fine
