quality wise, i'm going on almost 2 years with my koni sport shocks. no problems whatsoever. and FYI, the koni reds are also adjustable, but they're a PITA to do so because you have to remove the shock from the car to do it

I have Koni Yellows on both the cars and their lowered on Eibach Sportline springs... I've had the Koni's on for about 3 years or so and have had no problems whatsoever.... I am very satisfied w/ the ride quality, and the shocks haven't given me any problems or any reason for me to think a problem is developing... I've gone on 500+ mile continious (only stop to fill gas) trips and they work well and my back wasn't all sore or anything.. I've also done some canyon runs and other "spirited driving" and they perform great.... Koni Yellows I got them for around $550 shipped about 3 years ago...

I don't have personal experience w/ the other shocks you mentioned but Bilstein's are good and many people on this board use KYB AGX's.. for your 1.5" drop any of them should be fine... for anything lower than 1.5" the KYB warranty becomes void...

If you are going adjustable then go Koni Yellow.

If you are going non-adjustable then go Bilstein.

Koni Yellows are my only choice when buying stand-alone shocks. Even better if you can get teh Neuspeed Koni Yellows.

The only reason I don't like teh KYB AGX's is b/c they have a little 1" wide, weld-on tab for the shock collar instead of a complete ring around the shock body. Allows way too much force to be applied in a small area.

I've had a friend's GSX KYB AGX shock collapse and fall straight through and bottoming out the suspension. Only a couple grand in damages.

I've seen the shocks collapse on a 300ZX (not sure what brand shock he had) it wasn't pretty w/ the *** dragging, rear bumper and $900+ Greddy dual exhaust system sparking
