well iv got a dx ..in gear one after my take off as soon as i hit like 10k/h it starts sounding wierd it gets really load and its like tr tr trtr trtrtrtrtr its like a knoking noise... i thought i might b low on fluid i checked its perfect and i actually added some... but the noise is still thr.... any help???? and jhust to add i changed my fluid about 5000k ago...i used royal purpul 10w40 engine oil... it said to use that when i chacked in the manual... would that couse anything ?? im just not sure help plzz

Either your differential is getting ready to take a dump or you got a bad input shaft bearing

Btw I run pennzoil syncromesh in my tranny I swear by it

kk well anywyas ima change my trany fluid again just because and i wanna make sure i use the right stuf... i hear mobile1 10w30 is good ... but does anyone know it syntetic is better or just the regular??? help fast please

i use gmc synchromesh also, works wonders

Well in either case if its making a noise like you are describing any type of oil is not going to cure the situation, something is about to come apart in your tranny...I'd never put royal purple in anything, I know most people on h-t swear by it but its viscosity when hot is garbage

One other question...you didn't state if it goes away or not at a certain rpm?

yes it does go away... u can hear it in gear one at higher RPMs and in second also but not as much and then 3d and fourth u cant really hear it...
