4th Gen Prelude At N.E.D. (And tire pressures)
Made a little video up at New England Dragway yesterday, just thought I'd share it with you guys. I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but, to make it a little tech related, what kind of tire pressures do you guys run on street tires to get your best 60' times? I have motor mount inserts and a traction bar, so I have no wheel hop whatsoever, but my best 60' of the night was a high 2.2. I started at 30 PSI and worked my way down to 15 by the end of the night. The tires seemed to like it best at ~18-20PSI. They are Yoko Parada Spec 2s 205/45/16, and I don't do a burnout, just a revolution or two to get the dirt/crap off. Anyways, enjoy the vid, and I'm open to any suggestions on how to get off the line quicker.

It's 2.5" mandrel bent with a 24" magnaflow resonator to a 2.5' twin loop muffler. And I haven't updated the sig lately, I've hit a best of 13.9, that was when I had the passenger seat, back seats, and trunk gutted, and the track conditions were perfect. In this video I have my full interior so the best I managed was a 14.3. It was about 90 degrees and 65% humidity, and the lowest I could get my 60' time like I said was a high 2.2. If I could get a 2 flat it would be an easy high 13. Glad you liked the vid.
Thanks! What kinda mods do you have done? The other thing that really does play a huge roll is the track prep, weather, and elevation. Lucky for me New England Dragway is relatively close to sea level and is a stop on the IHRA circuit so its usually well kept.
