CRX 89' complete brake conversion...
Just put, on my EF8, a new set of Acura Type-R front brakes (complete set) and 96 Honda Civic Si rear discs. The thing is I need to change the master cylinder and the proportioning valve. I'm ok with a CRX Si master cylinder but don't know about what prop. valve will work good with this set up...
Can anyone tell me if I'm ok with the master cyl.???? and by other way, tell me what prop valve do I need to use on my conversion?? 2040 or 30-40 04 40-40???
Need answer quick! Thanks for your time!

40/40... If you use the crx MC it can feel mushy on the pedal. A type R MC I think it's 1'' is what you need.
Did you install the whole front knuckle from the type R?

Yes, it is from a Acura Integra 96-00. The type R MC will fit on my EF brake drum the piece behind the MC?? And the 40/40 prop valve is the Type-R one right??
you could also use a 90-91 ex master cylinder and booster.
so did you actually use a type r front brake set up? or is it a regular 96-01 integra? they are very different from each other. if you use the prop valve from a type r, you will need to redo some brake lines. use one from a 90-95 non abs integra or 91 crx si or 92-95 civic w/rear disk and you wont have to mod the lines.

Yes is a OEM Acura Type R front brakes and brand new jajaj! But here in Puerto Rico we don't change the rear brake lines because of the similarity between honda acura oem parts. I know i need to change the MC and the Prop valve but why u think I need to change the rear lines? Is because of the fitings?? Or is because of the pressure??
If I buy a Type R MC or a 90'Civic EX MC will fit on my stock booster or I need to replace it too??

Ok you can get a prop valve from any of these cars w/o modification
88-91 ef civic or crx as long as its rear disc and obviously it says 40/40
92-95 civic
90 or 91-93 Da integra i think w/ or w/o abs doesnt matter.
The newer models have a 40/40 but its design is different in the way the lines are mounted..
Have you aligned you car yet with the new setup or are you waiting on these parts?
