Default ecu reflash problem?

so here is what happened. i went over a speed bump and my battery hit my hood. the positive terminal hit the hood and now it messed something up. ive checked everything and it may have lead to the ecu. so, i bought a used ecu from beaver honda and brought to the honda dealership to reflash. and i took it the other day and had it "reflashed" and now my old ecu doesnt work and i was told they took all the info from the old ecu and put it into the used ecu bought from beaver honda. is that supposed to be right? because now my key light comes on and my check engine light comes on. anyone know what might be the problem? when the car messes up, the rpm dies and so does the heat gauge. it shoots out black smoke and doesnt rev past 2 im thinking.

if anyone can help it would be nice so dont bash or what not. just needing some help. thanks

You should pay a professional to diagnose your vehicle. It will cost now but save later.

so you fried your original ecu, then you replaced it with a used one? and the new one (the used replacement) is making your car run like ****?

if that's the case, then the used ecu you picked up is bad, go warranty it.

if your battery positive terminal hit the hood, that would have shorted the battery out but no damage could have been done since that only causes the voltage to go down.

well from what i was told, the new (used) ecu was working but needed to be reflashed to run right with my car. but honda dealership told me they copied whatever was in my old, and put into the new(used) ecu. not sure if that was really reflashing it. but thanks anyway.

it still could just be that ecu i bought though, but honda is going to look at it for free since they screwed something up. my key light comes on and my check engine light comes on.it never happened like that before.
